Ethiopia has drafted a bill to create a stock market authority that suggested to be named the “Ethiopian Securities Exchange” according to Mr Melesse Minale Tashu, a Senior Macroeconomic Advisor, National Bank of Ethiopia and PMO. The exchange will be a private business. The government will be in the company as a minority shareholder. It was suggested that the government ownership will be maximum of 25% and the rest 75% would be owned by private investors, could be domestic investors, foreign investors.
